Smith's Wood, Solihull: Transport
Transport
Smith's Wood is easy to walk around thanks to good footpaths, but you'll need to head outside the neighbourhood for petrol stations and other services.
The footway network is solid locally, so getting about on foot works well for day-to-day trips. Fuel stations and highway services are a short drive away though, so you can't access them on foot.
The neighbourhood sits close to the A45 and connects well to the wider West Midlands road network — a real advantage if you drive or commute by car. Public transport here is below the UK average, so owning a car is pretty much essential rather than optional.
