About Sketty

Sketty is a well-established suburb on Swansea's western edge. The schools here are strong — Olchfa and Gower College both serve the neighbourhood — and you've got 2 hospitals and good dental provision on your doorstep. Day-to-day living is straightforward. You'll find cafés and supermarkets scattered throughout, plus 6 sports centres and a golf course if you're after activities. Crime's been falling year on year, which is a genuine plus. Property prices vary depending on what you're after. Detached homes average £417,000, semis come in at £278,000, and flats offer better value at £160,000. Getting around is easy if you drive — the A4118 gives you straightforward road access. Public transport is thin on the ground though, so this neighbourhood really suits people who are happy behind the wheel.
