Kirkham, Fylde: Schools
Schools
Kirkham's got a solid education mix. You'll find 5 state primary schools in the area, and 2 of them are rated Outstanding — The Willows Catholic Primary School and Kirkham Pear Tree School, a community special school. Kirkham St Michael's Church of England Primary and Kirkham and Wesham Primary are both rated Good. There's also Kirkham Grammar School, an independent option covering juniors through sixth form, which has a strong local reputation.
The secondary side needs attention though. Carr Hill High School, the local state secondary, is rated Requires Improvement following a 2024 inspection. If you've got older children, that's something to factor into your decision.
