King's Hedges, Cambridge: Amenities

King's Hedges has the basics covered, though you'll need to venture into neighbouring areas for a fuller range of shops and services. Within the neighbourhood, there are 2 convenience stores, a post office, 3 parks, a swimming pool, and 3 pubs. You'll also find 4 social facilities, which shows there's a real community spirit here. What's missing is clear: there are no cafés, restaurants, pharmacies, or supermarkets in the neighbourhood itself. You'll need to travel nearby for those. Food shopping and eating out options lag behind UK averages. But the neighbourhood does look after its residents reasonably well — the green space, pool, and social facilities all add up to somewhere with genuine community infrastructure.
