Greyfriars has a solid mix of schools nearby, with most rated Good by Ofsted. One local primary does have some concerns you should know about though.
Fulwood Academy is the secondary school right on the neighbourhood's doorstep, with a Good Ofsted rating and improving attainment scores year on year. Our Lady and St Edward's Catholic Primary stood out in its recent inspection, with inspectors praising its leadership, curriculum, inclusion and behaviour. St Clare's Catholic Primary also got strong marks for achievement and leadership in its 2026 report.
Fulwood and Cadley Primary, which is in the neighbourhood, is different. Its 2026 inspection found it needed urgent improvement across leadership, curriculum and safeguarding. It's worth factoring that in if you're considering the area.
