Abbey, Rushcliffe: Transport
Transport
Abbey works well if you drive. The road network is solid, and you'll find parking nearby without much fuss. There's a fuel station close by too, which is handy for regular drivers.
Public transport is the trade-off here. There's a bus stop in the neighbourhood, but that's about it — rail connections are thin on the ground, and you won't find much cycling infrastructure within Abbey itself. The nearest bike parking and cycleways are just outside the boundary.
If you rely on buses or trains to get around, this neighbourhood falls short of the UK average. You'll want to think hard about whether that works for you before you move. The same goes if cycling is your main way of getting places — you'd be better served elsewhere.
