Abbey, Rushcliffe: Safety
Safety
Abbey's crime rate has been dropping steadily and is now close to the UK average, with around 25 crimes per month so far in 2026 compared to the national average of 34.
That's a real improvement from 34 a month in 2025 and nearly 34 in 2024. Anti-social behaviour has more than halved over that time, which tells you a lot about how the neighbourhood actually feels day to day. Shoplifting has also fallen sharply, down from 101 incidents in 2024 to just 20 in the first nine months of 2026.
Abbey sees considerably less crime overall than neighbouring Trent Bridge. The trend here is clearly moving in the right direction.
