Thamesmead Moorings, Greenwich: Transport
Transport
Thamesmead Moorings has decent bus connections and solid cycling infrastructure, but there's no train or tube station here. You'll rely on buses for most journeys and roads to get around.
Buses are your main public transport option. There are plenty of stops dotted around the neighbourhood, which works well for getting about locally. Getting into central London takes longer than it would from areas with rail access, though.
The A2016 runs through the area, giving you a direct road route east and west. That's handy if you drive or use car-share services.
Cycling is genuinely viable here. You'll find several dedicated cycleways, which is more than you'd get in many similar neighbourhoods. The Elizabeth line at Abbey Wood is close by, which makes a real difference to how well connected you are overall.
