Storrington & Washington, Horsham: Schools
Schools
There are 8 schools near Storrington and Washington, all rated Good by Ofsted. They cover both state and independent options, which gives families real choice in the area.
All 5 state primaries with Ofsted ratings hold a Good grade. Several have been confirmed Good at their most recent ungraded inspections, meaning inspectors found no reason to revisit their rating. That's a solid baseline.
Thakeham Primary School stands out on attainment, with 63% of pupils meeting expected standards in reading, writing and maths — above the national average of around 61%.
For independent provision, there's Windlesham House School in Washington. It's a well-regarded prep school inspected by ISI rather than Ofsted.
Secondary education comes via Steyning Grammar School's nearby Rock Road Campus.
