About Sawtry
Sawtry's a quiet village where you'll need a car to get around, but the A1(M) makes it straightforward to commute to Peterborough or Huntingdon. You'll find better value here for detached and semi-detached homes than in nearby villages. The schools are a real strength — infant, junior and secondary are all rated Good by Ofsted. Crime's dropped significantly through 2026 and now sits below regional and national averages. Green spaces, sports centres and a few pubs create a settled community atmosphere. High rates of home-working suggest plenty of residents are drawn to the space for a home office combined with easy access to open countryside.
