King's Cross, Camden: Jobs
Jobs
King's Cross has a highly educated workforce. Half of all working residents do their jobs from home — one of the highest rates in London. Professional, scientific and technical roles make up the largest single sector, followed by health and social work, then education. Together, these three sectors account for roughly a third of all employment.
Finance and information technology are also well represented here, thanks to the neighbourhood's proximity to the City and the tech cluster around the station's redevelopment.
When residents do commute, walking is the most common method. This tells you something important: many people either work locally or head into central London, and they're choosing to get there on foot.
