Claygate, Elmbridge: Transport
Transport
Claygate is well connected for a suburban Surrey neighbourhood. The local railway station gives you direct access into London and nearby towns without needing a car.
Claygate station sits on the Waterloo to Guildford line via Cobham, making it practical for commuters. Journey times into London Waterloo are reasonable. The A3 is close by, which means you can reach central London and the south coast by road. That proximity to a major road is genuinely useful if you drive.
Bus coverage is limited compared to more urban areas, so you'll want a car for local trips. There's no bike-share or car-share infrastructure here. The rail link is really the neighbourhood's strongest transport asset.
