Bodmin St Petroc's, Cornwall: Schools
Schools
Bodmin St Petroc's has a small but varied mix of state schools covering all ages. The provision is broadly solid, though there are some areas worth keeping an eye on.
You'll find 2 schools within the neighbourhood itself. St Petroc's Church of England Primary is a faith-based academy taking children from early years through to age 11. Bodmin College is the local secondary academy with space for 1,550 pupils.
Bodmin College's results improved noticeably in 2024-25, with its Attainment 8 score rising from 38.6 to 46. That's a meaningful jump if you've got older children.
Just outside the neighbourhood, Beacon Academy was found to have "improved significantly" at its most recent Ofsted inspection in March 2025. That's an encouraging sign for the wider area.
