Abbey, Barking and Dagenham: Transport
Transport
Abbey's got decent transport connections overall. There's a bus station right in the neighbourhood, which is handy for everyday journeys. A railway station and subway stop are close by, though you'll need to step just outside the neighbourhood to reach them. Taxi ranks are scattered around the edges, so they're easy to find.
Walking works well here — the footways are good enough for short trips around the neighbourhood. Cycling infrastructure is thin on the ground locally, with most cycle routes sitting outside Abbey's boundaries. If you're driving, you'll find solid road access and service roads nearby that make getting around by car straightforward.
