Eveswell sits within a well-connected pocket of Newport, surrounded by neighbourhoods that consistently deliver on schools, affordability and everyday convenience. Beechwood, Lliswerry, St Julians and Victoria all offer strong educational provision, with primary and secondary schools close by in each area, backed by good access to GPs, dentists and opticians. Housing stays accessible across the board, with terraces typically priced from £173,000 to £180,000 and semis from £216,000 to £240,000, giving buyers real choice without the premium price tags found in nearby Caerleon. Daily life here is straightforward. You'll find supermarkets, convenience stores and a wide choice of restaurants within easy reach, while transport and living costs run below the UK average throughout the area. Road links are solid, with easy access to the M4 and A48 suiting commuters who drive, though public transport is more limited in spots like St Julians. Crime has fallen steadily since 2024 across all four neighbourhoods, a trend that points to a genuinely improving area rather than a one-off dip. Each neighbourhood has its own flavour within this shared foundation. Beechwood leans settled and practical, ideal for families wanting space. Lliswerry stands out for its complete school pathway from primary through to college, plus a strong retail offer. St Julians balances affordability with good amenities, while Victoria delivers the sharpest prices and the strongest crime reduction, alongside close ties to Newport's university and college campuses. Together, these areas give Eveswell a well-rounded identity: affordable, family-friendly and increasingly safe, with everything you need close to hand.
