Cleevemount
Cleevemount sits on the edge of Cheltenham, blending quiet residential streets with easy access to the Cotswold countryside. The surrounding neighbourhoods share a strong family appeal, with Good-rated schools cropping up throughout, from Grangefield Primary and Woodmancote School to Dunalley Primary and Pittville School, giving parents plenty of choice close to home. Crime levels run consistently below average across the area and keep trending downward, while excellent air quality and a mild, settled climate add to the appeal. Green space is well catered for too, with Pittville alone offering 9 parks and Prestbury adding another six.
Getting about generally means relying on a car, though the picture varies: Cleeve Hill has its own railway station, as does Prestbury, while Pittville and Swindon Village benefit from strong road links to the M5. Wherever you land, Cheltenham town centre is never far off for fuller shopping, healthcare and dining, with most neighbourhoods covering everyday basics like convenience stores and GP surgeries locally. Home working is notably common here too, with Swindon Village seeing nearly 28% of residents working remotely and Prestbury showing a similar professional, settled character.
House prices vary quite a bit depending on which pocket you're looking at. Prestbury and Pittville sit at the top end, with detached homes averaging £734,000 and £759,000 respectively, reflecting their desirability and space on offer. Cleeve Hill and Cleeve Grange also command a premium, particularly for semi-detached properties, while Oakley and Swindon Village offer more affordable entry points, making them sensible choices if the pricier neighbourhoods are out of reach. Rents follow a similar pattern, generally staying cheaper than Cheltenham's more sought-after addresses, which makes Cleevemount a flexible option whether you're chasing space and schools or simply better value for money.
